An InterPlanetary Make event, hosted by MAKE Santa Fe
Bring the whole family to Make Santa Fe’s free exhibit and maker event “Interplanetary Space-Craft: Made on Earth” on Monday, October 16th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Make Studios. (2879 All Trades Rd. Santa Fe, NM 87505)
Make Santa Fe artisans will showcase a range of experiments and inventions combining art, technology, and innovation. Alongside this provocative exhibit, visitors will have a chance to make some “space-crafts” themselves, by creating their own earth artifacts and designing and making objects that could be used on earth, and on other planets.

This event is part of a series of October events in the Santa Fe Institute’s ongoing InterPlanetary Project — a collaboration between the institute and several community partners, including Make Santa Fe. The project invites space enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds to engage with the pressing problems of today by imagining the challenges of tomorrow: What will it take to become an interplanetary civilization? How can humanity tackle the problems of today to prepare for its future?
