I draw on a multidisciplinary background in physics, mathematics, and biology to investigate the origins and dynamics of complex traits in evolutionary and developmental systems. My work combines theoretical and computational approaches with philosophical frameworks—particularly phenomenology, hermeneutics, and pragmatism—to examine how concepts such as function, organization, and agency inform biological understanding. I am currently leading efforts to develop new conceptual framework that integrate scientific and humanistic inquiry, aiming to create a more generative theoretical biology.
