Meeting Summary: This working group is the second follow-up on the NSF-supported workshop, which was held at SFI in April 2018, and explored different perspectives on social learning. This follow-up will include three participants from the original workshop, who will work intensively on a joint project started at the workshop. Specifically, Niccolo Pescetelli (MIT), Dan Stein (NYU), and Mirta Galesic (SFI) will be working on a project with a working title “Kerosene Cans, Twitter and Network Structure”, which aims to use computational modeling and empirical tests to understand the emergence of experts and other similar forms of trust in networks of interacting agents.
