Elizabeth Hobson and Roxanne Swentzell
Santa Fe Institute Postdoctoral Fellow, Elizabeth Hobson, will provide a survey lecture on her research of the recent, rapid invasion of monk parakeets in Mexico. Roxanne Swentzell, sculptor and author of The Pueblo Food Experience Cookbook, will speak about her community experiment and the irrefutable benefits of returning to the pre-contact foodways of the Pueblo peoples. Swentzell will also provide samplings of pre-contact Pueblo foods for the audience to taste and enjoy.
