To celebrate the 30th anniversary of SFI's educational programs, we are hosting a 3-day intellectual fiesta in Santa Fe. The event will feature great lectures, intellectual exchange, networking, and time to relax and swap stories with fellow alumni in Santa Fe. The fiesta will kick off Friday evening, July 6, and end Sunday afternoon, July 8. Register here.
All alumni of SFI's face-to-face education events (e.g. summer schools, research experiences for undergraduates, etc.) and former postdocs and faculty are invited to participate.

Evening: Opening reception at the Institute
DAY 2 Saturday, July 7 - venue: Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA)
9:00 - 10:00: Keynote lecture by SFI President David Krakauer - Living With Complexity Intelligently
10:15 - 10:35 am: Rosemary Braun - Hearing the Shape of Life: How long-range research behaviors emerge from local interactions
10:50 - 11:10 am: Ryan Taylor - Institutional scalability and a complex systems view of sustainability
11:25 - 11:45: Carlos Viniegra - Masters, lackeys, and serfs: How can complexity science assist public policy development
11:45 am - 1:00 pm: Lunch at IAIA
1:00 - 5:00 pm: Themed discussions, reckless ideas, informal networking, and reflection booths
5:00 - 6:00: Grillout at IAIA
9:00 - Midnight: Complexity Party at Second Street Rufina. Dancing with DJ 13pieces. Deck with tables for those who want to talk. (shuttles from IAIA)

10:10 - 11:30 am: Panel - Imagining the Future of the SFI Student Community with Panelists Xiaofan Liang, Bill Rand, Kirsten Moy, and Ada Diaconescu
11:30 - Noon: Convergences - SFI Director of Education Paul Hooper
11:30 am - 1:00 pm: Closing lunch at IAIA
Afternoon: Free time for self-organized field trips, sight-seeing in Santa Fe or travel home
