Come learn with us!

Our programs bring complexity science to curiosity-driven individuals. Our programming is targeted to advanced undergraduates through professional researchers. Expand your research, develop your professional network, and gain an unparalleled perspective into complexity.

Are you new to Complexity Science?

Are you looking for a research experience?

Are you an early career researcher or research professional with a broad interest in complexity?

  • Are you looking for an in-depth, immersive experience? Check out our four-week intensive Complex Systems Summer School, SFI's hallmark training program in Santa Fe. Or consider our two-week Complexity-GAINs international summer school, which focuses on ecosystems in 2024.
  • Do you want a survey of complex systems, but don’t have time to travel to New Mexico? Our fully-virtual Complexity Interactive is a two-week, part-time commitment that allows you to balance work and other responsibilities with your study of complex systems.

Are you a scholar of the social sciences looking to include computational approaches in your research?

Education programs at the Santa Fe Institute are supported by registration fees, federal and foundation grants, and gifts from donors.

We thank the McKinnon Family Foundation, Darla Moore Foundation, Omidyar Foundation, Bengier Foundation, and Gene and Jean Stark for their generous support of educational programming as well as scholarships and fellowships that bring outstanding students and postdocs to SFI.
